Departure this February 11th for a day trip across the island of Maio with 4 wild crews. ON THE PROGRAM: visit of the beach of Morro, the cabritos of “Deutch”, stop at calheta baixona, visit to the fishermen, beach, beach…. Visit of the charcoal ovens and explanation, departure for the dunes before heading to the far north and returning via Cascabulho to cross towards Pedro Vaz, Santo Antonio, pause in the square of the church. Finally a little drive, to Alcatraz, visit a quarry extracting cobblestones used for road construction before returning to the full track to reach the fig trees 400 to 500 years old. Before returning to relax break at the cove of Ribeira do Joao, tasting of local cheese and aperitif on the beach before the sunset.
